Location and Setting

Marloth Park is located along the Crocodile River, nestled between Malelane and Komatipoort on the N4 highway.

Wildlife and Attractions

This stunning wildlife park serves as a fantastic holiday destination, featuring four of the "Big Five" species, excluding the elephant. Buffalo, rhino, and lion reside within Marloth's game reserve, known as "Lionspruit," while other wildlife, including kudu, zebra, giraffe, blue wildebeest, nyala, impala, warthog, ostrich, and more, roam freely across the 3,000 hectares.

Ideal Stopover

Marloth Park is an ideal stopover for tourists and holidaymakers heading to Kruger National Park, Mozambique, or Swaziland. The park is home to numerous lodges and private houses.

Freedom of Movement

Within Marloth Park's expansive 3,000 hectares, freedom of movement is exceptional. Visitors can cycle or stroll independently through the African bush, as movement is not restricted to housing units.

Follow the rules
Walking and jogging between 6am till 6pm

No speeding: Speed limit: Tar roads: 50 km/h Gravel roads: 30 km/h
No drinking and driving
No unlicensed drivers on the road
No littering – take rubbish in black bags to bin at entrance road
No spotlights to disturb animals or neighbors.
Lock door and windows when not at your Cabana
No removal of dead trees from stand to make a fire
No open fires in field
Extinguish all fires after braai/BBQ.
No hand feeding of animals (Kudu and Njala bulls and Bush Buck ram with horns are extremely dangerous) Strictly no maize or bread {can’t be digested and causes colic)
Do not stroke wild animals
No fireworks
No drones allowed
NOISE/DISTURBANCE: Please consider your neighbors as noise tends to travel further in the bush.
If a noise/disturbance complaint is received by any security company you will be responsible for: Fine of R3500, 2nd call-out – you will be asked to LEAVE THE PARK with assistance of SAPS

Useful Information

Mosquitoes and Malaria

Malaria is caused by the malaria plasmodium parasite which is transferred to man by the bite of an infected female Anopheles mosquito.
Symptoms of malaria: Headaches Fever Vomiting Nausea Diarrhea Common flu symptoms Prevention of malaria
With sunrise/sunset – close your arms, legs and ankles and apply repellant (Tabard, Peaceful sleep, Citronella Cream & burn candles under chair/table)

Animals

Do not hand feed the animals, for your own safety
Always keep a safe distance from animals, especially warthog tusks, horns of duiker and bush buck, as well as the Kudu, Blue Wildebeest & Nyala bulls)
Sit back, relax and enjoy the wildlife and birds from your patio

Our place's name is Twalumba. It's a very nice and unique word from the Tonga Valley in Zambia which means THANK YOU. Thank you to the Lord. For the wonderful woman he gave me and our two sons. Both our sons were born in Zambia. We are grateful that God has opened the doors for us to do so. We just had to wait and be patient. It happens at God's time. Not our time. Our time has come!
