The Newly Built Shoe – Off-Grid Comfort & Luxury

Welcome to The Shoe, a newly built, beautifully designed off-grid accommodation offering a unique blend of sustainability, comfort and luxury. Powered by solar energy and equipped with a gas geyser and gas stove, The Shoe allows you to enjoy a peaceful getaway without compromising on modern conveniences.

The custom-made furniture has been specially designed to complement the Shoe’s distinctive rounded shape, while a Smart TV and dedicated Wi-Fi router keep you connected and entertained. During cooler months, the indoor fireplace, electric blankets and extra hot water bottles ensure a warm and cosy stay.

Guests can enjoy complimentary drinks from the fridge, a self-help breakfast and a fully equipped, thoughtfully designed kitchen. Step outside to your private braai area, just a few metres away, while enjoying a full view of the swimming pool.

Farmhouse Family Suite Unit 1 – Self-Catering Accommodation for Up to 5 Guests

Enjoy a comfortable and spacious stay in this charming semi-open-plan family suite, conveniently located inside the main farmhouse. The suite offers a cosy indoor setting combined with a private outdoor space, making it ideal for families or small groups. The main bedroom area features one double bed and one single bed, while the kitchen annex includes a bunk bed with two single beds, a gas stovetop, fridge, microwave, cookware and cutlery for easy self-catering. The bathroom is equipped with a shower and small bathtub. Outside, the private patio provides a relaxing space with an outdoor table and seating, as well as a built-in braai area, perfect for enjoying laid-back meals in the fresh air.

Farmhouse Unit 2 – Comfortable Self-Catering Accommodation

Enjoy a relaxing stay in this cosy Farmhouse Unit, offering everything you need for a comfortable and convenient self-catering getaway. The unit features a comfortable double bed, a sofa and TV for relaxing indoors, as well as a fully equipped kitchen with a gas stove, microwave and fridge. A private bathroom provides added convenience, while the outdoor BBQ stoep offers the perfect setting for enjoying a traditional braai and soaking up the peaceful surroundings.

Farmhouse Unit 2B – Spacious En-Suite Double Room

Unit 2B is a spacious and comfortable double room, ideal for couples or guests looking for a cosy and private stay. The room features a comfortable double bed, private bathroom, TV, large wardrobe, small couch, table and chair, as well as a convenient bar fridge, microwave and tea and coffee facilities. While the unit does not have a kitchen, these amenities provide everything needed for a comfortable short stay. The outside security gate allows guests to leave the inner door open for improved ventilation on warm summer evenings. For larger groups or families, the unit can also be connected to the adjoining Farmhouse Unit by opening the connecting door, creating additional accommodation space when required.

Farmhouse Unit 3 – Spacious Self-Catering for 4 Guests

Unit 3 is a spacious, sunny and fully open-plan four-sleeper unit, offering a comfortable and practical home-away-from-home. Originally used as the farm’s restaurant, the unit retains its unique character with the original painted walls still adding charm and personality. The self-catering kitchen is equipped with a gas stovetop, large fridge, microwave and enough cutlery for four guests. The sleeping area features one double bed and two single beds, with the TV conveniently positioned for easy viewing from the double bed. A spacious private bathroom with a walk-in shower completes the unit. Its generous layout and comfortable facilities make Unit 3 particularly popular with contractors and guests enjoying longer stays.

Farmhouse Unit 4 – Spacious Self-Catering for Up to 6 Guests

Unit 4 is the largest of the Farmhouse chalets, offering generous space and comfortable facilities for families, large groups or guests enjoying an extended stay. This six-sleeper unit features a master bedroom with a queen-size bed and single bed, large wardrobe, dressing table and private en-suite bathroom with a shower. The open-plan kitchen and lounge area includes three additional single beds, with two arranged in a bunk-style setup, as well as a comfortable couch and flat-screen TV. The fully equipped kitchen has a gas stove, fridge, microwave and enough cutlery for up to eight guests, while a second bathroom with a shower adds convenience. Outside, the private patio provides a relaxing space with a table and private BBQ area. For even larger groups, Unit 2B can be connected to Unit 4 through an inner door, adding an additional double bedroom.

Outside, the private veranda and BBQ area offer the perfect setting for relaxed outdoor meals.

Different wedding packages are available to suit the size and style of your celebration, with a personal approach that focuses on you, your relationship and creating meaningful memories. The Shoe features a charming underground chapel, perfect for intimate weddings of up to 40 guests, as well as the Big 5 Venue, which can comfortably accommodate up to 120 guests for both ceremonies and celebrations. On-site accommodation is available for up to 40 guests, with a campsite and restaurant also available, while additional nearby accommodation can be arranged.

Couples are encouraged to visit beforehand and spend quality time together in this peaceful and unique setting before the excitement of the wedding preparations begins.
