The Orion Guest House is situated in Middelburg, halfway between Pretoria and Lydenburg, on the Panorama Route.
This is the gateway to the Kruger National Park, Swaziland and Mozambique.

Our secure and spacious rooms all have private access to the apartments with showers, air-conditioning, tea and coffee station, hair dryers, television (rooms: Antares and Bellatrix are offered with DSTV-essential. Rooms, Altair, Vega, Castor, Mira, Spica, Rigel, Sirius and Capella are offered with OpenView channels).
Each room has a mini fridge stocked with soft drinks for your enjoyment. (Rooms: Antares, Vega, Mira, Bellatrix, Spica, Rigel and Sirius are offered with microwaves for our comfort. Wireless internet is available in all our rooms.
Meals are served in a spacious dining room facing a beautiful Koi-pond with running water features, and a cold plunge pool that overflows into a relaxing crystal clear swimming pool. A private lounge with DSTV and a built-in braai/fireplace is perfect for any social gathering. Secure parking with remote access to apartments is available.

Breakfast & Dining
Breakfast:
Breakfast is served in our spacious dining room with running water and birds chattering in the garden. Our main breakfast consists of 100% pure beef sausage, 2x bacon rashers or fried chicken polony, 2 eggs, toast, mushrooms, baked beans and fried tomato. A variety of cereals with yogurt or milk can be enjoyed as a starter. We also have a selection of fresh fruit. For early departures pre-arranged breakfast-packs and lunch packs can be prepared.
Dinner:
Dinners are available and served in the dining room with a relaxed atmosphere overlooking the Koi-pond and swimming pool. Salad and dessert are included in our dinners. We also serve coffee/tea, fruit juices and fresh milk with our dinners.
Attractions & Activities
Golfing enthusiasts can enjoy a relaxing round of golf at the undulating golf course at MCC or at Kranspoort Golf Course. Horse riding trials are available minutes away from Middelburg. Middelburg is situated just minutes away from Loskop Dam, Witbank Dam, Rondebosch Dam and Kruger Dam which is on The Orion guesthouse doorstep. These dams allow for an abundance of exiting water sports such as sailing, fishing, waterskiing etc.
Middelburg is also host to the well known Loskop Dam Marathon, Jazz Festival held in March every year and the Great Train race (fun run) between Emahlaleni (Witbank) and Middelburg. No matter what your preference, Middelburg has plenty to offer to all travellers. From fascinating cultural tours to adrenaline pumping water sports in pristine dam areas. Middelburg is the ideal holiday destination.
The Orion is situated nearby a shopping centre, restaurants, take-away shops, garage, cinema, casino, country club / golf course and a fitness centre for the fitness fanatics. We are within easy access of the N4 highway.
