Why We Made It Different
When we bought The Barefoot Boys, we didn't want to create another typical holiday house. We wanted something bold, warm, relaxed and full of personality — a true home away from home, but different enough to make you feel like you've genuinely escaped from everyday life. The deep greens were inspired by nature and the surrounding coastal landscape. Warm wood tones celebrate the character of the original cabin, creating a feeling of comfort, calm and connection to nature. Then we added bolder colours and unexpected details simply because we wanted this home to have a personality of its own. The result is relaxed, a little adventurous and intentionally different — a place that feels like home without feeling anything like home.

Ordinary décor creates ordinary homes. We never wanted The Barefoot Boys to be another predictable holiday house filled with things simply because they looked good. Every colour, texture, piece of wood and unexpected detail was chosen with intention. We wanted every corner to have meaning, every room to have personality, and every element to become part of the story.
