 About Us

Sugarbush Hill Country Cottages is situated in a tranquil and picturesque valley in the Magaliesberg mountain range. This charming accommodation is ideal for honeymooners, family retreats, or anyone looking to escape the fast pace of urban life.

Guests can select from 15 self-catering stone cottages, each equipped with its own parking space and braai facilities. The cottages feature fully equipped kitchens, private patios, and stunning mountain views.

On-site amenities include a heated swimming pool, a super tube, a putt-putt course, and a bar that overlooks the pool area. Additionally, there are two function venues available, accommodating 100 and 40 guests, respectively.

The covered pool is heated by solar panels, ensuring it never exceeds a lukewarm temperature and only warms up as much as the sun permits. Expect cooler water on cloudy days.

The Jacuzzi requires prior booking as it takes up to four hours to reach the desired temperature. It is free to use on weekends and holidays, while additional fees apply on weekdays.

The farm boasts a rich variety of birdlife and wildlife, including impala, blesbok, and sable. Guests can enjoy catch-and-release fishing at a small dam and explore nature walks around the property. To access facilities, please collect the key at reception.

These open-plan units are perfect for a romantic escape, providing couples with the privacy they desire. Each unit features a queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom. Additionally, you'll find a fully-equipped kitchen, a TV with selected DStv channels, and a private patio complete with a braai area.

Aloe Cottage

This cozy one-bedroom unit accommodates up to 2 guests. The bedroom features a comfortable queen-sized bed. The bathroom includes a shower-over-bath setup. The fully equipped kitchen is perfect for cooking, and you'll find a TV with selected DStv channels, along with a private patio and a braai area for outdoor enjoyment.

Karee Cottage

This one-bedroom unit is designed to host 2 guests comfortably. It features a double bed in the bedroom, along with a sofa bed suitable for 2 children, and includes an en-suite bathroom. Additionally, there is a fully equipped kitchen, a TV offering select DStv channels, a private patio, and a braai area for your enjoyment.

Raasblaar

These open-plan units are perfect for a romantic retreat, providing couples with the privacy they desire. Each unit features a queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom, with Raasblaar offering a spa bath for added luxury. Additionally, the unit comes with a fully-equipped kitchen, a television with selected DStv channels, and a private patio complete with a braai area.

Thornbush Cottage

These two-bedroom units are perfectly designed for families, accommodating up to six guests. The first bedroom features a queen-size bed, while the second bedroom is equipped with twin single beds. Additionally, the lounge includes a double sleeper couch. The bathroom offers a shower-over-bath combination. Each unit comes with a fully equipped kitchen, a television with selected DStv channels, a private patio, and a braai area.

Kiepersol Cottage

These two-bedroom units are perfect for families, with a capacity to host up to six guests. The first bedroom features a queen-size bed, while the second bedroom is equipped with twin single beds. Additionally, the lounge includes a double sleeper couch. The bathroom offers a shower-over-bath setup. Each unit comes with a fully equipped kitchen, a TV featuring selected DStv channels, a private patio, and a braai area for outdoor cooking.

Olive Cottage

The unit accommodates up to 5 guests and features 2 bedrooms. The first bedroom includes a double bed, while the second bedroom is furnished with a triple bunk bed, consisting of a double bed on the bottom and a single bed on top. Jakaranda

Each unit features six guest rooms and comprises two bedrooms. The first bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed, while the second bedroom includes a triple bunk bed with a double bed on the bottom and a single bed on top, along with an additional single bed. The bathroom is equipped with a shower. Additionally, the unit offers a fully equipped kitchen, a TV with selected DStv channels, a private patio, and a braai area.

Oak Cottage

The unit accommodates up to 6 guests and features 2 bedrooms. The first bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed, while the second bedroom contains a triple bunk bed, which includes a double bed at the bottom, a single bed on the top, and an additional single bed in the room. The bathroom is equipped with both a shower and a bath. Additionally, the unit boasts a fully equipped kitchen, a TV with selected DStv channels, a private patio, and a braai area.

Tambotie Kamer 1

This unit is ideal for comfortable self-catering accommodation and is an open-plan living room with a queen size bed.

Tambotie kamer 3

Tambotie kamer 4, 5 & 6

Tambotie 4 is one of six private rooms, each featuring a built-in braai on the stoep. It is specifically designed for young couples with two children looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. This unit offers an open-plan layout, including a double bed and a bunk bed in one room. Additionally, there is a fully equipped kitchen for self-catering, and the bathroom comes with a shower.

Wedding Hall

• Our Wedding Hall can host up to 120 guests. and has a wood deck that overlooks the Magalies mountains.

Church 

• The church can host up to 120 guests.

Lapa Area

• The dam area is the perfect spot for small functions, overlooking the beautiful Magalies Mountains.

Chapel

• The outside chapel is located near the honeymoon suite and can host up to 120 guests.
