Welcome to Sitrusoewer River Camp

Located on the scenic banks of the Sundays River, Sitrusoewer River Camp is a tranquil oasis nestled in the heart of the Sundays River Valley.

Our camp is surrounded by lush citrus orchards and is just 50km from the world-renowned Addo National Elephant Park, making it the perfect getaway for families, nature lovers, and adventure seekers.

Our Story

Our story began in 2004 when Johan and Anneke Swart started Sitrusoewer as a small and private picnic spot on their farm next to the river.

As its popularity grew among friends and family, it soon became apparent that there was a demand for a camping and fishing spot in the area.

Over time, Sitrusoewer River Camp evolved to meet this demand, and today it boasts a lapa, 4 cabins, 25 campsites, and 4 ablutions.

Our camp has been designed to provide a comfortable and relaxing stay while still allowing guests to connect with nature.

The Farm

The farm on which Sitrusoewer River Camp is situated has been in Anneke's family for generations.

The farm produces world-class citrus fruit and has a long harvesting season that ranges from April to October.

During this time, the farm is bustling with activity as the fruit is carefully cultivated and harvested.
