Accommodation at the Bush Camp comprise of:
The Lerato, Kiepersol & Aloa Safari Tents feature three bedrooms each, equipped with either double beds and/or single beds. Each tent sleeps up to eight guests comfortably. All have full bathroom and shower amenities, large equipped kitchen, braai lapa, sundowner deck and a six seater Jacuzzi.
The Panorama & Rotsvy Safari Tents feature one room with double bed and one room with four single beds. Each unit has full bathroom and shower amenities, large equipped kitchen, braai lapa, sundowner deck and a six seater Jacuzzi. The two tents respectively sleep up to six guests comfortably.
The two smaller 4×4 Safari Tents – Wildesering & Stamvrug – each feature a sundeck and a jacuzzi! Wildesering comprises of two tents small 3,5m X 3,5m, near each other and sleeps two per tent. Indoor shower, loo and wash basin, equipped kitchen, stove, fridge braai area and private jacuzzi. Stamvrug sleeps two in a 3,5m x 3,5m tent. Double bed, indoor shower, loo and wash basin, equipped kitchen, stove, fridge, braai area and private jacuzzi is included.
General: The tented bush camp, however, comprise far more than merely tents and no effort and attention to detail has been spared in the development. Each unit is very private and comprise of a spacious sun deck which allows for beautiful views of the Waterberg habitat and the valley below.

- Tents are Private Self Catering.
- For larger social gatherings the rustic Bush Lapa can be booked. Subject to early discussion.

PANORARAMA SAFARI TENT (TWO ROOM CANVAS TENTS)
The Panorama Safari Tent features one room with a double bed and one room with four single beds and sleeps up to six guests comfortably. This unit also has a full bathroom and shower amenity, large equipped kitchen, braai lapa, sundowner deck and a six seater Jacuzzi. At Panorama one additional "chopper" tent can be erected, if required, which will allow for a total of eight guests to be accommodated.

The Lerato Safari Tent, the Kiepersol Safari Tent and Aloa Safari Tent features three bedrooms and a closed Verandah. Equipped with either a double bed and single beds and sleeps up to eight guests comfortably. Add on of single beds can be arranged. Each tent comprises a full bathroom, shower and toilet. There is a separate large equipped kitchen, thatched. Small boma, six seater Jacuzzi. Each tent is Private and stand alone

Activities
Shakila have various game species, including kudu, eland, smaller buck species, baboons, leopard and others.
Please make use of your own vehicle to go and explore shakila and its beauty.
We will be able to arrange with nearby Game Drivers should you want to have a game drive arranged for you. Please arrange with Manager.
Bird Watching The farm offers excellent birding, including nesting Black Eagles and the beautiful Fish Eagle. Zyndrant Guest Farm is in the upper feeding area of the Nyls Vlei floodplain and the Nyl River runs through the farm. The famous Nyl River floodplain is located 30 km from Zyndrant Guest Farm and Modimolle, on the old road towards Mokopong (Naboomspruit). The Nyls Vlei is the largest ephemeral floodplain vlei in Southern Africa. When completely inundated, the wetland covers an area of over 8000 hectares. It is surrounded by bush veld savannah which is well protected in the Nylsvlei Nature Reserve and on adjoining private land. Nyls Vlei is one of the most important breeding areas for water birds in Southern Africa, and in wet years is transformed into a bird paradise when up to 10 000 herons (various species) and 60 000 rallids (rails and crakes) are present. At these times it holds the most significant South African breeding population of several species including Bittern, Dwarf Bittern, Little Bittern, Rufousbellied Heron, Slaty Egret, Lesser Gallinule, and Baillon’s Crake.

* Security is a personal responsibility. Guests are advised to leave their valuables at home. Or to lock them away in the vehicle at night. Keep lodgings locked if moving around or visiting other sites or town. We do have a guard at night roaming around. Early warning is most important.
* No walking and driving in the Reserve at night. If there is a problem or a need, kindly talk to Theunis prior to movement. Be very careful to drive down to the river below. 4x4 challenges to vehicles and humans.

How to get to Shakila Safari Bush Camp
The safari camp is approximately 1hr30/133km from Pretoria. It can be reached by taking the Modimolle off ramp from the N1 and driving through Modimolle in the direction of Bela Bela.
At around 12km turn right at “De Nyl Zyn Oog” road. The safari camp entrance is at 3km on your left. GPS Waypoint to Shakila main entrance: 24°45’57.72″S 28°19’26.34″E
