Nestled in the picturesque Waterberg mountain ranges, Shakila Bush Camp is a tranquil nature retreat offering an unforgettable experience amidst the beauty of the African bush. Our camp is situated in the 330ha Shakila Private Game Reserve, between Modimolle and Bela-Bela in Limpopo Province, and is the perfect destination for those seeking a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.
Our Accommodation
We offer three luxury safari tents, each equipped with three bedrooms and a closed verandah, providing breathtaking views of the surrounding bush. Each tent sleeps up to six guests comfortably and features:
- Private and standalone: Each tent is situated in a secluded area, ensuring complete privacy and tranquility.
- Fully equipped kitchen: Our kitchens are well-stocked and feature all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay.
- Full bathroom and shower: Each tent has its own bathroom and shower facilities, ensuring convenience and comfort.
- Rain queen pool: Each tent has its own wood-fired pool, perfect for relaxation and unwinding.
- Braai area: Enjoy traditional South African braai (BBQ) in our designated braai areas.
Our Tents
Lerato Safari Tent:
Our Lerato tent features three bedrooms and a closed verandah, sleeping up to six guests comfortably.
Kiepersol Safari Tent:
Our Kiepersol tent offers the same luxurious amenities as our Lerato tent, providing a peaceful and private retreat.
Aloa Safari Tent:
Our Aloa tent is the perfect destination for those seeking a secluded and tranquil getaway.
Bos Lapa
-R1,500.00: Book our rustic Bos Lapa for larger social gatherings. Subject to early discussion.
Rates
- Solo traveler: R1,100.00 per night (single person occupancy)
- First 2 people: R550.00 each per night
- Additional people: R300.00 per person per night
Deposit
- R1,000.00 deposit: Deposit for wood that's used and possible damages to the property of Shakila Bush Camp.
- Wood included: Ten bags of wood are included in the deposit (R30.00 per bag). Unused wood will be refunded.

The farm offers excellent birding opportunities, with nesting Black Eagles and Fish Eagles.
Getting Here
Shakila Bush Camp is located approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes from Pretoria. To reach us, take the Modimolle off-ramp from the N1 and drive through Modimolle in the direction of Bela Bela. Turn right at "De Nyl Zyn Oog" road and follow the signs to our camp. Our GPS coordinates are 24°45'57.72"S 28°19'26.34"E.
