Our camps are designed to blend seamlessly into the surrounding landscape, offering breathtaking views of the Mutale River and the surrounding wilderness.
Each campsite features a private kitchen, a braai area, and essential ablution facilities, guaranteeing you have all the necessities for a pleasant and enjoyable experience.
Please note that we do not provide electricity; instead, we utilize gas stoves, gas refrigerators, and gas geysers.

Accommodation Options:
Tented Tree Houses
Sleep in the treetops, surrounded by nature. Our unique, off-grid treehouse-style tents offer rustic comfort in total privacy — with space for up to 24 guests across six secluded sites (sleeping 2 to 8 people each).
Each site is fully equipped with a private kitchen, braai area, toilet, shower. Linen and bath towels are provided please bring own swimming towels, and while there’s no electricity, paraffin lamps, open fires, gas cooking, and gas fridges add to the charm of the true bushveld experience.

Camp Under the Giants
Pitch your tent beneath towering indigenous trees and fall asleep to the sounds of the wild. Our riverside campsites offer a peaceful, back-to-basics escape for true nature lovers.
Secluded camping under huge indigenous trees, surrounded by unspoilt bush — just as nature intended. Chill out under the shade of majestic Baobab, Mashatu, Jackalberry, Knobthorn, and Zebrawood trees (to name just a few!) as you soak in the stillness of the bushveld.
This is off-grid camping at its finest — no electricity, no noise, just you, the fire, and the stars. Campers share access to clean ablutions, and there’s plenty of space to unwind, explore, and reconnect with nature.

Communal Facilities
Gather, unwind, and soak up the spirit of the bush. When you're not out exploring, birdwatching or relaxing at your own private site, the central lapa is the perfect spot to connect with fellow travellers and swap bush tales around the fire.
Just a few steps away, you’ll find our rustic little bush pub, serving up ice-cold drinks — best enjoyed beside the plunge pool after a hot day in the sun.

- Fly into Johannesburg or Hoedspruit and drive to Pafuri River Camp
- Self-drive from Hoedspruit or Johannesburg

- Marvel at the ancient Milestone Baobab and the rare Miombo Woodland, home to diverse birds like the Pels Owl.
Spot reptiles such as the Flap-neck chameleon and Nile monitor, and enjoy exceptional birdwatching with over 350 species, including the Pels Owl and Mottled Spinetail.
Despite being outside Kruger’s fences, wildlife like small antelope, jackals etc do sometimes visit. Bring binoculars and an adventurous spirit to fully experience this vibrant ecosystem!

- Pafuri River Camp is a self-catering camp, with fully equipped kitchens and braai areas.
- The camp is off-grid, with paraffin lamps.
- No wifi available, but there is limited phone signal.
- The camp is open year-round, but bookings are essential.
- Normally full payment is required before arrival.
- We facilitate bookings for individuals arriving by vehicle; however, payments must be made in cash upon arrival, as we do not have a card processing machine. Payment options include either cash or electronic funds transfer (EFT).
- We offer wood and ice for sale. Please note that all purchases made with us must be settled in cash.
Getting Around:
- The camp is located near the Pafuri Gate of Kruger National Park, and we can arrange game drives and other activities with our expert guides.
