Located 80km North of Maputo, 36km North on the Macaneta Peninsula with access via a 24h security gate at the bridge of Maragra sugar mill. Come and discover one of the most unspoiled beaches left. This 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom holiday beach house has its own private splash pool and is 100m from the beach with magnificent sea views. Sleeping a minimum of 8 people and maximum 15 – 18 people. There are 4 double beds & 7 single beds. 3 single bed bunks in the living area. Large open plan, self-catering equipped kitchen/living area with 4 plate gas stove, fridge freezer facilities and a built-in braai. Patio doors opening up onto a stoep with private splash pool and magnificent sea and beach views. This secluded and private beach resort is ideal for the family break away or the adventurer.

This 4 bedroom holiday home is ideal for the family break away and perfectly positioned for spectacular whale watching during July – Oct. Situated only 100m easy walking distance from the beach with sweeping views of the ocean below. Direct beach access. This 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom holiday home sleeps up to 14 people. Two bedrooms have a sea view with patio doors opening up onto a stoep area. Large open plan kitchen, dining, living area with a large built in braai and pizza oven next to a large family table with magnificent views. Very private and safe beach & secluded area.

CAMPING
There are 2 camping sites (areas) to choose from, 100m and 500m from the beach respectively. Between them we are able to host more than 100 people. Each have their own private ablutions, a camp kitchen wash-up area and built-in braai facilities on your stand.
The 100m camping site entails camping on the sand and is accessible with 4×4 caravans and off-road trailers.
For the 500m camping site one can camp under lovely, shaded trees. Accessible with 4×4 caravans, off-road trailers and roof top tents.

We surf launch at low tide.
Fresh water available on the beach for pre-engine warm up and flushing afterwards.
No Quad bikes allowed on the resort.
4×4
We offer guided 4×4 daytrips to explore the surrounding areas, around the 4 fresh water lakes, all the way to the Bilene lake. This involves guided 4×4 dune driving and lots of fun. Guests can choose between a daytrip to Turtle Rock where you can see turtles in their natural habitat or a daytrip to the town of Bilene where guests can snorkel in the lagoon. This is an unbelievable ‘bucket-list’ trip.
Beach driving permits can be arranged at the resort. There are also 4×4 guided ‘play-pit’ trips in a specific area in the dunes to ‘test’ your vehicle with a 4×4 instructor.
Fishing
A fisherman’s paradise. Excellent shore angling right in front of the resort. There are unexplored reefs close to shore.
Fishing licenses, boat launching and beach driving permits can be arranged at the resort.
Whale Watching
Every Winter, pods of humpback whales embark on their annual migration from Antarctica to Africa, one of the largest migrations in the world. They can be seen passing through the waters of Mozambique’s 2500km coastline from July – October where they breed and give birth. Machubo Beach Resort Mozambique is perfectly positioned for this spectacular event!!!
