Comfortable Self-Catering Accommodation

Our charming Casitas (chalets) are designed for comfortable self-catering stays and cater for couples, families, and small groups.

Guests can choose from:

Casita 1 & 2 – Sleeps 2 guests with an open-plan bedroom, kitchenette, en-suite bathroom, outdoor braai area, and private outdoor shower and toilet. Each unit also offers an adjacent campsite for up to 6 additional campers.
Casita 3 & 4 – Sleeps 2 adults and 2 children, featuring an open-plan bedroom, loft with twin beds for children, kitchenette, en-suite bathroom, and outdoor braai area.

For guests looking for a more relaxed holiday, a Full Catering Package including dinner, light lunch, bed, and breakfast is also available.

Unspoiled Beaches

Only a short walk or 4x4 drive from the camp, Calanga Beach offers kilometres of untouched coastline. It is one of the few beaches in Mozambique where visitors are permitted to drive their 4x4 vehicles along a 4 km stretch of beach, making it easy to transport all your beach gear.

Freshwater Lakes

Just 3 km from the lodge, crystal-clear freshwater lakes provide the perfect setting for swimming, fishing, kayaking, and relaxing in nature.

Surf Fishing

The Calanga coastline is renowned for its excellent surf fishing, attracting anglers throughout the year.

Hiking & Bird Watching

During December and January, guests may encounter nesting sea turtles while enjoying guided night walks and can even participate in the local turtle conservation programme.

Reaching Lugar de Arvores is part of the adventure. Due to the sandy terrain, only 2x4 vehicles with differential lock or 4x4 vehicles are recommended, with tyres deflated to 1 Bar before entering the area.
