Welcome to Khamkirri Lodge, a proudly family-run camp set along the peaceful banks of the Orange River in the Northern Cape, South Africa. Located just 14 km from the spectacular Augrabies Falls, our lodge offers guests breathtaking scenery and exciting outdoor experiences.

At Khamkirri, we are passionate about creating a relaxed, welcoming environment where families and friends can reconnect and unwind.

Surrounded by natural beauty, guests can enjoy a range of activities or simply soak in the tranquility of the river.

For the best experience, we recommend staying at least two nights to fully enjoy everything our unique destination has to offer.

Self-Catering Units

Experience comfort and relaxation in our beautiful log cabins, perfectly positioned along the river’s edge.

Designed for both comfort and convenience, each unit is fully air-conditioned and features spacious bedrooms with quality cotton linen, modern bathrooms with refreshing showers, and private decks with built-in braai areas—perfect for enjoying breathtaking sunsets.

The open-plan lounge and kitchen flow seamlessly onto the deck, creating a relaxing space to unwind after a day of adventure. These units are ideal for families and friends, with sleeper couches available for children or additional guests (linen provided).

Small Log Cabins (Sleeps 2)

Perfect for couples or small families, these cabins offer a peaceful and romantic escape. The bedroom features an extra-length king-size bed, while large sliding doors open onto stunning river views.

The living area also opens up to a spacious patio, bringing nature right into your unit. A sleeper couch is available for smaller children.

Large Log Cabins (Sleeps 4–6)

Ideal for families and groups, these cabins offer two en-suite bedrooms, a spacious lounge, and a fully equipped kitchen.

Large patio doors lead onto a private deck overlooking the river, creating the perfect space to relax, reconnect, and enjoy the natural surroundings.

Khamkirri's Popular Self-Catering Family Unit

This charming thatched river cottage comfortably sleeps up to 5 guests, with a sleeper couch for extra space. It features two en-suite bedrooms, making it ideal for families or small groups.

The unit is wheelchair-friendly, with one bedroom adapted for easy access. Enjoy a fully equipped kitchen, open-plan lounge, and a private patio with built-in braai—perfect for relaxing by the river.

Glamping Tented Chalets

Enjoy the perfect blend of nature and comfort in our beautiful canvas colonial tents, set right on the edge of the Orange River. Ideal for couples and small families, these units offer a unique riverside escape without compromising on convenience.

Each open-plan tent sleeps 2 - 4 guests and features two single beds, a sleeper couch, an en-suite bathroom, and a fully equipped outdoor kitchenette. A private patio with a braai and stunning river views completes the experience.

Stop Over Camping is an ideal retreat for couples seeking a restful night in nature.

Our cozy tent features a clean bed, a bar fridge, a kettle, a table, a chair, and a braai, ensuring comfort.

Dine at our on-site restaurant and enjoy hot showers at the nearby ablution facility. Located by the Orange River, guests can swim, sunbathe, or relax with a book.

For the adventurous, try night fishing for Barbell or Carp, or simply unwind by the campfire and enjoy the Kalahari night.

Riverfront Camping and Campsites

Our campsites are situated along the Orange River, 14km upstream from Augrabies Falls. We offer:

Spacious campsites with lush grass and large indigenous Camelthorn trees
Access to power points and normal and blue plug power points
Private stands with luxury bathrooms, own plugs, power points, braai, and patio
Each stand can accommodate 1 vehicle with a trailer or caravan or a family of 6
Amenities include a pool, deck, bar, and restaurant
Ablution facilities with private amenities and keycard access
