About Us
Dinokeng Bush Camp is an "off-the-grid" bushveld camp site where you can experience nature in its most pristine form. Our camp site is best suited for off-road campers that are self-sufficient in all aspects.
Dinokeng Bush Camp started operating in 2020, and we plan to increase the number of stands in phases. Basic amenities will be added to selected areas, but we want to limit this in order to minimise the impact on nature.
Both our camp site areas are unfenced which allows animals to roam freely within these areas, providing for a unique bushveld experience. Our Ou Kraal camp site area includes 2 boma areas that are surrounded by stone walls dating from the early 1900s.
Adding to the experience is the owner and host's (Wim Naude) passion for nature, knowledge of area and the surrounding wildlife.

Camp Areas
OU KRAAL CAMP
Ou Kraal camp gives you the best bushveld sunset view. Some stands are grouped around two boma areas, ideal for family and friends camping in groups, whilst more private stands are also available.

Ou Kraal camp site area is situated against a steady north-west slope of small hill nestled inside the Dinokeng Game Reserve. The location provides stunning sunsets views. The campsite is unfenced, and animals, including the big 5, are free to roam the area.
The Ou Kraal camp site comprise of 12 stands, of which 4 are completely private. The other stands are located around 2 boma (kraal) areas where groups can gather around the fire pits and enjoy the star-filled nights.
Facilities:
This is an off-the-grid camping site, i.e.:
- No electricity
- No water
- No amenities
- Limited shade
Stands 1 to 7 have concrete platforms.
Stands 1 to 3 share a small boma area with braai and pit fire, ideal for smaller groups.
Stands 4 to 7 share large boma area with pit fire, ideal for larger groups.
STANLEY'S CAMP
Stanley's camp area was added in 2023 on the plateau adjacent to the Ou Kraal camp area, conveniently located near the very popular Arlington Brewery. The campgrounds are thoughtfully spaced apart to offer guests exceptional seclusion, and this region is renowned for wildlife sightings, including lions, rhinos, antelopes, and various other animals.

Stanley's camp site area is situated at the top of a small hill inside the Dinokeng Game Reserve. The campsite is unfenced, and animals, including the big 5, are free to roam the area.
Stantley's camp site comprise of 7 stands, all completely private, i.e.:
- Elephant
- Buffalo
- Jackal
- Rhino
- Giraffe
- Lion
- Hyena
Facilities:
This is an off-the-grid camping site, i.e.:
- No electricity
- No water
- No amenities
- Limited shade
General
Most stands are relatively private but options for groups are available.
There is NO ELECTRICITY at the camp sites.
There is NO water at the camp sites.
Complimentary wood will be provided for each day’s stay. Please only make fire in the designated area.
Please refrain from collecting firewood from the surrounding bushveld.
Mobile reception of major Mobile Network Operators are relatively good.
There is parking for 1 vehicle per stand. Should you require more parking space, please discuss with management.

Please note:
There are snakes in the area. Please refrain from touching, playing or agitating any snakes.
When you come across a snake, stay calm and stay still until the snake moves away from you. In most cases a snake will not attack unless it feels threatened.
Please report any snake sightings to management.
