The name Dinokeng originates from the languages of the baTswana and baPedi people and means "Place of Rivers."
Covering approximately 19,000 hectares of pristine bushveld, the reserve is home to the Big Five — lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo — as well as countless other wildlife species, birds, plants, and ecosystems.
