Who is Chasing Gravel?
Chasing Gravel is a Namibia-based travel company specializing in off-the-beaten-path adventures across Southern Africa.
Chasing Gravel is a family-founded travel brand created by Nolene and Andre, passionate overlanders with 22+ years of experience exploring Africa.
What began as a personal family blog and travel diary grew into a full-time business helping travellers discover the freedom of self-drive safaris and authentic African adventures.
Where it started: In Southern Africa, born from countless kilometres on gravel roads with their trusty Prado and Metalian trailer.
How long operational: Officially launched as a business in 2022, after years of travel experience, and now guiding travellers across Namibia, Botswana, South Africa, and Zimbabwe.
Today, Chasing Gravel combines tailor-made safari itineraries, travel coaching, and even a home base in Poseidon (Swakopmund, Namibia) — bringing adventure and comfort together for travelers worldwide.

What tours do you offer?
We offer off-the-beaten-path tours in Namibia, Botswana, South Africa, and Victoria Falls - Camping to 5 star lodges. Self- drive or guided.
We also do tours to Zanzibar, Mauritius and Madagascar. Soon to launch Northern Lights and Skiing!
What is Poseidon?
We’re taking on a brand-new adventure—stepping into the Airbnb market!
Our first property is a short term rental, Poseidon by Chasing Gravel is in Swakopmund, Namibia.
A spacious 3-bedroom house with a sea view, Poseidon is designed to bring you the perfect blend of comfort and adventure.
Renovations are starting soon, and we can’t wait to share this incredible space with you!
The name Poseidon holds special meaning for us, combining my passion for travel with Andre’s background in the commercial diving industry—creating a stay that’s inspired by the ocean and exploration.
