At home in mother nature’s presence
Bushwa Private Game Lodge comprises 1000 ha of beautiful and water rich Bushveld, and is home to a variety of African wildlife such as buffalo, sable, eland, kudu, giraffe, zebra, warthog, nyala, brown hyena, honey badger and many more. The dense Bushveld with its vast array of indigenous trees hosts many different bird species. The restricted number of vehicles allowed in the reserve means that our wildlife remain largely unfazed by human proximity, allowing for particularly close and personal encounters.
Bushwa Private Game Lodge offers the perfect breakaway within a 3 hour drive from Johannesburg’s O.R. Tambo International Airport.
Accommodation comprises 5 luxury chalets in close proximity to the bar, lounge, dining and pool area, a self-catering bush camp for up to 14 adults and six children and a somewhat rustic, yet very romantic tree house overlooking a waterhole which is situated 3 km from the Main Lodge.
Tsamma Spa is a place to recover, rejuvenate and come out feeling renewed.
We want our guests to leave the spa physically revived, with a fresh outlook on life, new insights and a sense of clarity about what they wish to accomplish and value.
To encapsulate all that the Tsamma Spa embodies, we have partnered with the award-winning Kalahari Skincare – a bespoke range inspired by ancient plant oils and extracts from Africa, as well as rare fragances and natural textures from the Kalahari.
Our treatment menu is available on request.
At Bushwa Private Game Lodge you can still experience life on Earth as it was before humans intervened.
Nothing can prepare you for the sight and soundless movement of a stately giraffe, or the colossal bulk and deep, curved horns of buffalo herds grazing nearby.
Simply set off in our safari vehicle at dawn, to see what the night left behind and what the day ahead will bring. The Waterberg Region has a wide variety of Fauna and Flora and is home to an abundance of plains game and bird life.
Guests at Bushwa Private Game Lodge who stays at the Main Lodge can enjoy 2 game drives per day.
We take pride in our disease-free buffalo and sable antelope herds. Close encounters are frequent to view these beautiful animals.
