About Ambleside Self-Catering Apartments
Welcome to Ambleside, a tranquil self-catering accommodation situated in the lovely village of Umtentweni, just 2km north of Port Shepstone on the South Coast of KwaZulu Natal, South Africa.
Our four self-catering apartments offer a home away from home, overlooking a sparkling solar-heated pool with Jacuzzi and lovely garden with a stream running through it.
Our Apartments
The East Wing:
A three-storey house with a main bedroom, kitchen, living room, and attic bedroom. Accommodates up to 10 guests.
The South Wing:
A studio apartment and living room/second bedroom, with its own garden and TV. Accommodates up to 5 adults (7 with sleeper couches).
The North Wing:
The original part of the house, with a living room/kitchen, bathroom, and two bedrooms. Accommodates 4 people (6 with sleeper couches).
The Studio:
An open-plan apartment with an extra bedroom, granite kitchen, and porcelain tiles. Accommodates up to 6 people.
The En-Suite Room:
A room with TV, fridge, kettle, and microwave, but no kitchen. Accommodates 1-2 people.
Facilities
- The Beach: Just 80 meters from a deserted beach, with a public beach and kiosk nearby.
- TV: Flat satellite screen TV with DSTV basic package or Open View in all apartments.
- Jungle Gym: To keep the young ones busy!
- Kitchen Facilities: Gas hob, microwave, toaster, and kettle in all apartments. Complimentary tea and coffee provided.
- Internet: Free Wi-Fi internet signal in all apartments, with a 100 Mb fibre line.
- Swimming Pool: Solar-heated swimming pool and Jacuzzi for guest use.
- Laundry: Free laundry service for guests staying longer than 5 days.
- Braai: Four braais available in the garden for guest use.
- Parking: Remote-controlled gate and huge parking area in the garden.
- Games: Net for badminton or volleyball, table tennis, and darts in the indoor Entertainment Area.
Pet Policy
- We accept sociable and well-behaved dogs, with an extra charge and deposit.
- Dogs must be on a leash in the main garden and not on furniture.
Safety and Security
- High wall around the perimeter, spotlamps, and security cameras.
- Parents are responsible for the safety and supervision of their children.
