Situated in the malaria free Eastern Cape, just outside the town of Queenstown, Aloe Grove is nestled in the picturesque Eastern Cape countryside. 

We offer our guests a unique opportunity to enjoy luxurious and unique decorated thatched chalets, warm hospitality, great food, adventure and spectacular views of the tranquil surroundings.

We also offer guests the opportunity to do bass and trout fishing, bird and game viewing, hiking or mountain biking on our selected trails.

ACCOMMODATION

Aloe Grove offers lovely thatched chalet type rooms consisting of large bedrooms, bathroom, and private patios surrounded by exquisite gardens. The area offers a wide variety of flora and fauna, with outstanding game and bird viewing. Breakfasts, lunches and dinners can be arranged when pre-booked. Fridges, crockery and cutlery are available in all self catering units. All units are equipped with tv’s that includes satellite channels. A tea and coffee facility is provided in each suite. All rooms and units are serviced daily.

We offer all our facilities to all our guests including fully licensed bars, lapa's, boma, braai areas, lounge, swimming pool and play facilities for the kids! Aloe Grove is perfect for overnight accommodation for wedding, conference and function guests, and for longer stays for out of town visitors.

We can comfortably accommodate 70 people in our 27 units making us the perfect wedding and conference facility! Special Rates may be negotiated when fully booking for such events.

Weddings

Designed as an all-in-one venue, encompassing a romantic chapel, hall, luxurious bridal suite, 3-star accommodation and picturesque gardens, Aloe Grove captures the spirit of love, happiness and celebration on your wedding day. With its impeccable levels of service and exquisite surroundings, Aloe Grove prides itself on being an exclusive countryside venue.

Aloe Grove Chapel

The chapel is equipped with pews or chairs and elegant chandeliers. The chapel has been designed to cater for both large and more intimate weddings and can seat up to 200 people.

Aloe Grove Reception Hall

Aloe Grove’s Reception hall epitomizes the spirit of romance and love. Our spectacular gardens are landscaped and manicured all year round to ensure the perfect setting for your wedding ceremony, reception and photographs.

The Aloe Grove hall seats up to 180 guests. More intimate weddings also fit comfortably without impacting the cozy, comfortable atmosphere of the room. Tables can be placed in a number of configurations, to suit your style and requirements. Ladies and gents cloakrooms provide comfort for guests

Aloe Grove Cottage

The Cottage is offered for brides to prepare themselves before the ceremony, and for the bridal couple’s first night at NO COST. Hairdressers and make up artists can do the bridal party’s hair and make up on site, alleviating the stress of arriving at your wedding on time! The Cottage offers a great way to kick start wedding celebrations and the perfect setting for pre wedding photographs.

Aloe Grove Guest Cottages

Our guest cottages are perfect for overnight accommodation for wedding guests, and for longer stays for out of town visitors.

Costs

Wedding costs consist of fees for venue hire, chapel hire, food, drinks and accommodation.All setting and clearing of the functions, as well as use of all Aloe Grove’s standard equipment is included in the venue hire fee. This includes a selection of tables, chairs with white chair covers, white linen napkins, cocktail tables, garden chairs, cake table and gift table, and podium for speeches.

Full catering and bar services are provided and can be tailored according to your requirements and budget. Aloe Grove’s menu comprises of three courses with a fourth course option of finger snacks to be served to guests in the garden in-between the service and reception, and a full three course buffet dinner. Aloe Grove’s philosophy is to provide large portions of beautifully prepared home cooked food.

Aloe Grove offers various venue hire options for different days of the week. Each day offers its own benefits. Saturdays are the most popular days for weddings, but Fridays, Sundays and weekdays should also be considered. Weddings at dusk on Fridays are particularly festive, kick-starting the weekend with a fabulous celebration. Sunday lunchtime weddings offer guests the best use of Aloe Grove’s stunning gardens.

Aloe Grove Function Hall

Aloe Grove’s hall can seat up to 200 guests and smaller functions also fit comfortably without impacting the cosy, comfortable atmosphere of the venue hall.

Tables can be placed in a number of configurations, to suit your style and requirements. There is plenty of space for food to be served and for a dance floor. Large ladies and gents cloakrooms provide comfort for guests.

Our dining hall is available as an additional seating option on all of our functions including conferences.
