A family-owned camp nestled in Africa's richest birding region, Pafuri, Mozambique. Our camp offers one of the wildest, most authentic experiences on the continent, surrounded by raw, untamed nature. We're situated in the Parque Naçional do Limpopo, Moçambique, just 8km from the Pafuri border post and overlooking the breathtaking Limpopo River.
Our Story
Our story is one of passion, conservation, and community. As a family-owned business, we're dedicated to creating and sharing a piece of wilderness that heals the soul. Our pioneers, Lourens Sr. and Sonja, dedicated 10 years of their lives to the people and area of Pafuri, and we're still involved with the communities today. Our team, led by Lourens Jr. and Zanel, is committed to continuing and improving the legacy.
Our Camps
We offer two campsites, each providing a unique experience:
Pel's Owl Camp:
Situated on the Mugano Lagoon, perfect for birding and fishing.
Fish Eagle Camp:
Located in the largest Fever Tree forest, offering stunning views and wildlife experiences.
Self-Catering Tents
Our self-catering tents are designed to provide a comfortable and unforgettable stay:
Ingwe Tent:
Perfect for birders and fishermen, overlooking the lagoon.
Nyala Tent:
Ideal for one-night stopovers, nestled between a big Acacia Tree and a Wild Fig Tree.
Dumela Tent:
Close to Pel's Owl Camp, great for families with kids.
Nyarhi Tent:
Our most exclusive and private tent with breathtaking views of the lagoon.
